Communicating with Impact

Are our voices being heard? What are the challenges in today’s workplace to communicating effectively and what are the tools and techniques that the world’s best communicators use to get their messages across?

Our experiential communications training is aimed at people from across the workplace and operating at all levels who want to know more about how communication works and how best to land their messages.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Discover the theory of effective communication and explore how good communication happens.
  • Appreciate different communication styles and recognise your own patterns and preferences.
  • Learn how to flex your personal style to get results in a way that is authentic and effective.
  • Recognise the value of non-verbal communication, pause and silence in conveying a message.
  • Generate understanding of and support for your ideas using a range of media.
  • Explore techniques for making messages ‘sticky’.

Crucial Conversations

Whether it is holding a colleague accountable for a missed deadline, establishing boundaries for what is or isn’t acceptable, or managing an unreasonable request from a client, we all face scenarios where our ability to converse clearly, fairly, kindly and persuasively is critical.

In this course, participants will discover a framework that allows them to engage positively and to remain calm, constructive and resourceful in these crucial, high stakes interactions.

One of our most popular workshops, our highly skilled communications experts and behaviourists help participants to master this most powerful of workplace skills.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand what happens to our ability to communicate in high stakes interactions and why.
  • Discover and experience what effective – and ineffective – communication looks like in these scenarios.
  • Learn a framework that allows you to slow your thinking, observe, listen and respond, rather than react.
  • Practice a real-life challenging conversation with skilled facilitators, in a highly supportive environment.
  • Create a climate of collaboration, even in the face of challenge, using curiosity and humility.
  • Learn our proven methodology to diffuse and de-escalate conflict when it arises.

Influence and Persuasion

Getting buy-in for our ideas and initiatives, creating movement and moments of sway is a crucial workplace skill. True influence is having the ability to affect, change or impact someone or something in an indirect but usually important

way. Without the ability to influence others, the truly important things at work and in our personal lives can’t be achieved.

In this course, we discover the crucial skills needed to inspire, persuade, and encourage, creating a bridge with those we are seeking to influence and making movement across the bridge possible.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Discover the psychology behind the art of influence and explore how it is connected to power and movement within an organisation.
  • Understand the 6 levers of influence and preferences for using these.
  • Experience the impact of using different methods of persuasion and influence and apply it within a live work context.
