Beth Hood

Verosa’s Founder and CEO, Beth Hood began the company following a career spanning more than 15 years working at the very top of the UK Government in Security and Intelligence. Over the course of an exciting and unique career she developed the specialist leadership, communication, influence, negotiation and facilitation skills needed to run projects across the UK and overseas and to lead teams in high-profile cases of national importance.

It was here that she first became interested in performance psychology and learning and development. Beth has always had a keen interest in developing people and in realising human potential. She recognised at an early stage that strong communication skills, building effective networks and teams and becoming an effective leader was crucial to the often life changing work in which she was involved.

Making the link between behaviours and business results, Beth went on to train as a leadership trainer, coach and organisational behaviourist.

Beth founded Verosa in order to take her passion for helping others develop even further. She now works with organisations across a vast range of sectors and with individual professionals and teams at all levels. Her clients describe her as being skilled in getting under the skin of what makes individuals, teams and organisations tick, in order to create the cultures and climates that lead to really special results

Beth believes that we learn best in engaging, thought provoking environments and uses dynamic, experiential exercises to bring management and leadership theory to life. Beth describes her delivery style as challenging and insightful whilst remaining nurturing and pragmatic

She is a firm proponent of coaching the person not the problem and believes passionately in the power of the individual to self-actualise and overcome the obstacles that prevent us from becoming who we want to be.

Through Verosa Beth offers bespoke leadership develop consultancy for companies looking to take a strategic approach to management development. She has a particular interest in senior team and in the development of high potential recruits and emergent leaders. She has also conducted research on fixing dysfunctional teams and on creating a value-based culture.

Beth is a qualified Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) trainer and coach and holds the highly regarded ILM7 Certificate in Advanced Coaching and Mentoring. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and holds the PCC International Coach Federation (ICF) qualification. Beth is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and in a range of psychometric development tools including Enneagram and the acclaimed Strengths Profile tool.

In addition, Beth is classical singer and is trained in regulated diaphragmatic breathing techniques which she uses regularly with clients who are looking to improve confidence and wellbeing and reduce levels of stress.

When she is not in the Verosa HQ, Beth can be found in the green fields and forests of Surrey and Hampshire, where two children and three horses keep her busy, fit and sane!
