Strategic Thinking

This half-day live, online public workshop is aimed at participants who want practical strategies, tools and techniques to think both creatively strategically for themselves and their organisations. Drawing elements from change and project management, this is an opportunity to ‘helicopter out’ of day to day operations and begin the journey towards a better, brighter and stronger future – whatever the destination.

How can we make the best of most of the uncertainty we face? What opportunities are there for us to optimise projects and increase results as we move closer to the new normal?

Coming through this period of flux, no matter how we have fared in the pandemic, will require us to think strategically about the opportunities - and the challenges - that lay ahead.

In attending this training participants will:

  • Clarify and refine the vision for a project or projects of your choice
  • Use ‘right brain’ creative techniques to think differently about current challenges, unblock blockages and generate ideas
  • Understand why strategies fail
  • Use a range of tools to analyse and evaluate your priorities to and to set high level aims
  • Develop an ‘opportunity mindset’
  • Understand how to understand your stakeholders’ needs and gain buy-in for projects
  • Network with other professionals and understand how others’ approach their strategic challenges.
